Botox & Dermal Filters
What is botulinum toxin (botox)?
Adults are living longer than ever before. Botox has been one of the most important substances to hit the field of facial rejuvenation. Smiling, frowning, squinting and even chewing can eventually lead to one of the most common signs of ages: wrinkles. Botox is not only a popular, but one of the quickest and safest ways to reduce facial wrinkles as well as:
- Frown lines
- Crows feet
- Forehead furrows
- skin bands on the neck
Injections of botulinum toxin block muscular nerve signals, which then weakens the muscle so that it cannot contract and diminishes your unwanted facial wrinkles. This can be combined with other cosmetic skin procedures such as chemical peels, dermal fillers or microdermabrasion to further improve your results.
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers have been called "liquid facelifts" because they offer many benefits of a surgical facelift without the downtime. It can restore youthful fullness to your face, allow you to enjoy plump lips, enhance shallow contours and even soften those facial creases and winkles. These soft tissue fillers can add more volume and provide immediate results at a lower cost than surgery. These treatments are not permanent, however, and they must be repeated and maintained.
